The day kicked off with a fierce encounter between Joy FC and Grace FC. Right from the start, Joy looked sharp and hungry, and it didn’t take long for them to open the scoring. In the 8th minute, Kelechi Amadi calmly slotted the ball past the keeper after a well-placed assist from Marvin Goodluck. But Grace FC, never a team to go down quietly, struck back in the 23rd minute through their in-form striker Femi Emmanuel, who found the net following a clever setup by Samuel Elliot. Just as the game looked set for a draw, a handball in the box gave Joy FC a lifeline. Daniel Onyeakazi stepped up with ice in his veins and buried the penalty in the 35th minute, sealing a 2-1 victory for Joy FC and reigniting their hopes in the league standings.

With the tension still hanging in the air, Love FC and Peace FC took to the field for the second match. The game was tight, physical, and tactically intense. The only goal came early, as Osas Agho delivered a composed finish in the 13th minute to give Love the lead. The rest of the match turned into a gritty midfield battle with tempers flaring. Tolu Odubiyi of Love FC earned a yellow card in the 40th minute for a high boot, while Peace FC's Hassan Olanrewaju saw red in the 50th minute for dissent, leaving his team one man down and chasing shadows. The 1-0 win preserved Love FC’s unbeaten run and cemented their position at the top of the table with 14 points.

The final game of the day was nothing short of a spectacle. Faith FC and Light FC clashed in a pulsating encounter that had fans on their feet till the final whistle. Faith took the lead in the 22nd minute with a clinical finish from Abolaji Tejumola, assisted by the ever-reliable Success Ademoye. But Light FC answered quickly. Just three minutes later, Praise Ereku, known as “Mbappe” in the league, equalized with a sharp finish after being set up by Musa. Faith looked like they had it in the bag when Chidi Igwe fired them ahead in the 48th minute, assisted by Mayowa. However, in classic Light FC fashion, they refused to quit. Deep into injury time, at 50+3 minutes, Delight Baadi rose to the occasion and snatched a dramatic equalizer, rescuing a point and keeping Light FC’s top-four hopes alive. The match was not without controversy, as three players from Faith received cards, including a straight red to Prince for dissent and storming off the pitch, a moment that may earn disciplinary review.

As the dust settles on another intense match day, Love FC remains undefeated and at the summit with 14 points, followed by Grace FC at 10 points. Light FC climbs to 8 points, while Joy FC leapfrogs into contention with 7 points. Faith and Peace are tied at 5 points each, but both will need big performances in the coming weeks to climb the ladder.

The Golden Boot race is heating up with three players, Daniel Onyeakazi (Joy), Osas (Love), and Kariboye Derek (Faith), tied at the top with five goals each.
